My name is David Gonzalez, and I have spent most of my life in Southern California. I was raised in a challenging neighborhood in Los Angeles, but my family eventually relocated to Thousand Oaks, where I attended primary school. My mother raised me mostly on her own. The high cost of living in Thousand Oaks motivated me to move to Santa Clarita to pursue my goal, of owning a home.
I am a graphic designer, a Latino, a husband, and a father to a beautiful daughter. Although I did not prioritize education in my early years, my wife showed me the value of hard work and self-improvement. Since then, I have come to appreciate the correlation between effort and success.
As a first-generation college student, I have faced numerous challenges, including balancing my roles as a parent and husband while still pursuing my passion for video games. Despite the difficulties, I remain determined to succeed and to make my voice heard as a minority. I believe that everyone deserves respect and recognition, regardless of their background or beliefs.
In my design career, I would like to work with a tight-knit group of people who love working together and not be afraid to speak their minds. Not afraid to ask questions or be bothered by having to show how to do something. A “second” family that can interact inside and outside of the professional atmosphere.
